Wu Bu Quan (Five Stepping Fist)

Wu Bu Quan offers a comprehensive base of the five major stepping actions supported by foundation hand and kicking structures. Shaolin Wu Bu Quan is a form that is visited again and again and is an excellent physical conditioner especially in repetition.

Wu Bu Quan is the first of the Ji Ben Tao Lu forms. Wu Bu Quan is also the first of a functional trilogy which also includes Lian Huan Quan & Lian Huan Chang Quan.

Return to Thunderbolt Step, fists raised on the waist

1.       Step one - raise left foot to step around to the left and sweep hand and punch

2.       Step two - punch and toe kick into horse step and punch with cover hand

3.       Step three - rest step brace down and left punch

4.       Step four - unwind through the waist and cast the spear into crouch step and the Diving Swallow

5.       Step five - empty step hook hand and palm

6.       Transition to Step one (opposite side) - raise right foot to step around to the right and sweep hand and punch

7.       Step two - punch and toe kick into horse step and punch with cover hand

8.       Step three - rest step brace down and right punch

9.       Step four - unwind through the waist and cast the spear into crouch step and the Diving Swallow

10.   Step five - empty step hook hand and palm

11.   Pivot into crescent step and step around into fang sung (recentre)
